AXA Assistance works with an estimated network of 10,000 inpatient facilities and more than 100,000 physicians.
The following describes the list and nature of the facilities with which we have a provider relationship:
The direct relationship between the inpatient facilities and the physician network is not uniformly based on a contract. Nevertheless, in key locations we have specific preferences, PPO discounts, and/or pre-approved admissions with a written agreement in place.
CTY: Close To You is the name of our internal database of medical providers shared among the 39 AXA Assistance offices. This information is also available on the Internet. This resource has been recently launched and additional data is being added continuously. Each office has a significantly longer supplemental database with back-up providers and detailed information.
Asia Clinics: Specific access, telemedicine capabilities, American standards.
AXA/EMC: AXA Assistance subsidiary that provides global medical care in remote areas for corporations.
AXA/PPP: PPP Healthcare is the international health insurance company of AXA in the U.K. that provides access to its international facilities and physician networks.
Access to preferred network: AXA Insurance, PPP and AXA Assistance together have developed a specific network of providers with pre-negotiated rates.
AXA Assistance also maintains a library of atlases, travel guides, foreign language dictionaries, and business directories. Catalogs, trade magazines, industry publications, and travel brochures are filed for easy access by assistance coordinators. An on-line restaurant guide, on-line telephone information for US and Europe, trip planning and routing software, in-depth travel immunization and disease information, as well as many resources in guide format and on the internet are also available for assistance coordinator use. Whether an inquiry involves a stolen passport in San Diego, a heart attack in Moscow, or a reservation at the best French restaurant in Buenos Aires, our assistance coordinators utilize the most relevant and updated information available from its in-house library.
