You may be wondering what the benefit changes are in 2012 for the Panama Canal Area Benefit Plan. We want to help you! Below are the highlights of the 2012 benefit changes:
- Your share of the non-Postal premium will increase for Self only and for Self and Family. See page 80.
- South Carolina has been removed from the list of Medically Underserved Areas and Alaska added for 2012.
- Sections 3, 7 and 8 have changed to reflect claims processing and disputed claims requirements of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Public Law 111-148.
- We have updated the list of covered Organ/tissue transplants. Please refer to Section 5(b) for information. See pages 38 through 40.
- We added a description of the Wellness program for members who live in the Republic of Panama. See page 34.
