You may be wondering what the benefit changes are in 2010 for the Panama Canal Area Benefit Plan. We want to help you! Below are the highlights of the 2010 benefit changes:
· Your share of the non-Postal premium will increase by 3% for Self only and for Self and Family. See page 71.
· Hospital admission co-payments have been reduced to $25 for POS members of the Plan, and to $100 for FFS member of the Plan. See page 37.
· We decreased the prescription drugs co-insurance for all members of the Plan to 20%. See page 46.
· We added oxygen; supplies and the rental of equipment to administer the oxygen as a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) benefit covered at 100% for all Plan members. See page 28.
· We have extended the Diabetes Management Program formulary to FFS members of the Plan. See page 30.
· We have enhanced your FFS mental health/substance abuse benefits. Your FFS mental health/substance abuse benefits are at parity with the FFS medical benefits. See page 43.
