Bernard Ferrand
Senior Vice President

Mr Ferrand joined AXA Assistance in 1989. He has been successively General Secretary of the AXA Assistance Group, General Manager of AXA Asistance Germany, Senior Vice President for the Western European countries until April 2004. Beforehand he worked 14 years in insurance as manager of a marketing department, HR Director and Private Secretary of the Chairman. In his native country of France, Mr. Ferrand is counselor for foreign Trade. He is a graduate of law from the University of Lyon France.

Olivier Van Poperinghe

Mr. Van Poperinghe, C.E.O. joined AXA Assistance in 1995. He has 4 years experience with AXA Assistance in his native country of France and a total of 14 years experience in the assistance industry. He was the Director of Sales and Marketing of AXA Assistance in the United States since 1999, and was promoted to his current position in May 2004 to manage and expand the Group's marketing efforts in the United States. He is a graduate of the Institut Superior de Gestion (School of Business Management) in Paris, France.

Robert Mockard

Mr. Robert W Mockard has been with AXA Assistance since October 2000. He has more than thirteen years of financial experience working internationally in both service and manufacturing environments. Mr Mockard came to AXA from Information Resources, Inc., where he was their Director of Internal Audit, and he has worked for Nestlé Purina in Europe, Asia & Latin America. Mr. Mockard earned his CPA at Ernst & Young in the Baltimore/ Washington DC area, and has completed his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in December 2004.

Cai Glushak, MD, FACEP

Cai Glushak, MD, FACEP is a Board Certified Emergency Physician and received his MD and BS in Physiology from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec Canada. He is currently the EMS Medical Director for the University of Chicago Hospital and in this capacity, has gained vast experience with medical transport systems, specializing in evacuation, repatriation aero-medical services and return of mortal remains. He is an instructor for Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Emergency Medicine division at the University of Chicago. He is also Immediate Past President of the Illinois College of Emergency Physicians (ICEP). He is well traveled and spends considerable time surveying medical facilities worldwide.

Liz Bieler

Liz joined AXA Assistance in February of 2006. She brings to our team 14 years of experience at American Express, both in the United States and Latin America. At Amex, she focused on the development and general management of fee-based and core card-related services, primarily in the travel and medical insurance categories. AXA Assistance was one of her main partners, which is why she decided to join us. In addition to her marketing experience, Liz also spent two years at Luntz, Maslansky Strategic Research, a Washington-based consulting firm and division of Omnicom, where she provided specific language and communication consulting services to Fortune 100 companies, helping them to communicate more effectively to their employees and customers. Liz has a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University and an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from Columbia University.

Kathy Allan

Mrs. Allan has been working with AXA Assistance since 1999. She was the claims Director for the past 3 years and managed the TPA and Claims activity. In 2004, she was promoted to the position of Directior of Operations to develop and direct the management of our Customer Call Center to ensure customer satisfaction, and to implement processes and systems that will generate higher productivity and revenues. Mrs. Allan accomplishments include over 16 years in progressive experience in healthcare management in the USA market. She has studied Business Administration at Governors State University.

Lynn McGivern
Chief Compliance Officer

Ms. Lynn S. McGivern joined AXA Assistance in March 2006 as Chief Compliance Officer to ensure clients of the organization's commitment to corporate integrity through the development and implementation of a corporate compliance program. Ms. McGivern also serves as Corporate Counsel.
She has started her career as a licensed physical therapist before earning her jurist doctor degree from Washburn University in 2000. She has more than fourteen years of experience in healthcare and insurance compliance and regulatory matters and went on to achieve her Masters of Health Law from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois where she was awarded the Fellow Scholarship.
