Is my benefit plan being cancelled?
No, the PCABP plan is not being cancelled, the administration of the Plan is transferring to AXA Assistance Panama on January 1, 2006.
Will my benefit plan change?
There have been minimal changes to the Benefit Plan. Please review these changes in your 2006 .
Will my doctor/hospital still be in the network?
We do not believe there will be any significant changes to the network enrollment. We are interviewing the providers in your current network for admission into the AXA Assistance Panama network.
Will I be able to continue seeing my treating physician?
Yes, if you are in the midst of treatment you will not have to select another Primary Care Physician prior to January 1, 2006. If your provider is not in the network, please notify us immediately after January 1, 2006 and we will take every effort to add this provider to the network.
Where can I go to speak with someone in person?
The AXA Assistance Panama Membership Service Center will be located at Vía España 120. Corregimiento de Bella Vista. Ciudad de Panamá, República de Panamá. This office will NOT be open for visitors until after January 1, 2006.
I am currently receiving treatment. Will my treatment be affected/interrupted?
No, you may continue your treatment plan as directed by your Primary Care Physician, but please notify AXA Assistance Panama immediately following January 1, 2006 so that we can update our records and confirm the continued coverage of your treatment plan. Note, we will be receiving all medical records and case management files from HNA Panama.
Will there be any changes to the Diabetes Program?
There will be no immediate changes to the Diabetes Program. It will continue operating exactly as it is currently for the first months of 2006. We are evaluating the program and looking at opportunities to improve the program.
Will I continue to be reimbursed for my treatment?
All reimbursement for treatment is subject to the terms and conditions of the Panama Area Canal Benefit Plan - if your treatment is a covered expense it will be reimbursed according to these terms as it has been.
Who do I call for claim status?
You may continue to call HNA Panama up to December 31, 2005. After that, you should call AXA Assistance Panama for any claim status inquiries. AXA Assistance Panama will have your claims history from HNA Panama.
Do I need a new card?
You may continue to use your current ID card - we will be providing a sticker to place on your ID card that indicates the AXA Assistance Panama Membership Services Center address and phone number. Shortly after January 1, 2006 we will begin issuing new Picture ID cards for all members. We will provide more information to all members at that time.
For those members outside Panama: You will be receiving new ID cards prior to January 1, 2006.
When will I get my new plan book?
2006 Benefit Plan brochures are being distributed through your current Plan administrator.
Will my current case manager still be managing my care after January 01, 2006?
A case manager will be managing your care after January 1, 2006 - if this is not the same case manager that has assisted you in the past then this individual will have access to your complete case management file and will speak with you shortly after January 1, 2006 to introduce him/herself.

Will our current claims and payments be affected?
All claims will be managed by AXA Assistance starting January 1, 2006. HNA Panama will transfer all historical claims and payment information and we will be paying all unpaid 2005 claims on a similar schedule.
How will I submit claims to AXA starting in January?
Our provider Website will be fully operational to receive your electronic claims on January 1, 2006. A simple instructional manual will be to all contracted providers in early December.
When do I start sending claims to AXA Assistance?
Continue to submit claims to HNA through the end of 2005. All claim submissions should be directed to AXA Assistance Panama on or after January 1, 2006.
